Position Available: Financial Officer

We are excited to announce the opening of the Financial Officer position, a key role that plays a crucial part in our commitment to transparency, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Financial Officer, you will be responsible coordinating the annual tax collection and settlement process, maintaining all financial accounts and records, administering accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, carrying out all payroll and benefit programs, managing the annual audit process, assisting with annual budget preparation, overseeing debt service, and ensuring timely financial reporting. The Financial Officer analyzes the City’s financial position and provides strategic financial planning recommendations.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years' municipal accounting experience or 5+ years' experience in related accounting field.
- Must be bondable
- Experience with CivicSystems/Caselle HIGHLY preferred
