Residents – Be Sure Your Tree Cutter Has a License

Residents are encouraged to make sure the contractor hired to cut a tree within the City has a valid City license.  The reason a license is required is for homeowner protection.  The City verifies the contractor has sufficient liability insurance in the event of a problem they may cause while working on the trees.  The City will order a non-licenses tree cutter to stop the job until they obtain a license.  The fee is $25.00 and requires City Council approval which can take up to two weeks.
