Drug Related Arrest and Charges

A search warrant executed Friday, November 10th in the City of Richland Center resulted in the arrest of three individuals on drug related charges.

According to Chief of Police Lucas Clements, members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force and the Richland County Special Response Team (SRT) executed the search warrant at 476 Sunset Lane.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizing of multiple ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and thousands of dollars in cash.


Arrested were Brandon K. Mohr, 23, Zachary L. Hardy, 27, and John M. Butler, 38, all of Richland Center.

Mohr and Hardy are tentatively charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug house, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Butler is tentatively charged with felony possession of marijuana as a repeater.

All charges have been forwarded to Richland County District Attorney Jennifer Harper for prosecution.

Officers and Deputies from both the Richland Center Police Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Department are assigned to the Tri-County Drug Task Force. The member agencies of the task force work cooperatively to combat trafficking and abuse of illegal drugs in Southwest Wisconsin.

The Richland County SRT team consists of Officers and Deputies from the Richland Center Police Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Department who have received specialized training in building entries as well as other tactical situations which local law enforcement may be called upon to resolve.

Also assisting with the investigation was Richland County EMS.

Chief of Police Lucas Clements stresses how important citizen involvement is in law enforcement’s continued fight against illegal drugs. “The culmination of this investigation is a prime example of citizen involvement in action. We need to work with the community to do our best to keep illegal drugs off the streets of Richland Center”, adds Clements.
