Drug Arrest Pending

Chief Lucas Clements reports that at approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 1st Officers from the Richland Center Police Department responded to the Phoenix Center, located at 100 S. Orange St. for a report of a physical fight with injuries.

Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Dakota L. Lins, 23, of Lone Rock, who was found injured on scene. During contact with Lins, Officers found Lins to be in possession of 8.7 grams of methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, suboxone, several clear plastic bags and a large amount of money.

Lins was subsequently transported to the Richland Hospital for his injuries and the investigation into the physical altercation at the Phoenix Center is ongoing.

When medically cleared, Lins will be arrested for; possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (3-10g), possession with intent to deliver schedule II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. All tentative charges will be referred to the Richland County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
