The City of Richland Center, WI is accepting sealed bids for signage at several parks within the City.

The City of Richland Center reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

 

Bids clearly marked “Sealed Bids for Park Signs” are due by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 to the City Clerk at 450 South Main Street, Richland Center, WI 53581. Bids may be emailed to melinda.jones@richlandcenter.com or mailed to the above listed address.

 

Sign Specifications:

Signs should state the name of the park, a small Park logo, City of Richland Center, and the address.
Material should be ½ inch Beige Green Beige Densetec sign board. Color should be cream and green (Sample of sign type and color is located as the Krouskop Entrance sign).

The size and design should be determined by the sign company.

Each sign needs to be priced separately. Only need sign face price.

All installation will be handled by the City.

 

Parks that need signs are:  Lions Park – 23595 State Hwy 80,

North Park Pond – 1600 N Main Street,

North Park & Kiwanis Fields – 1550 N Main Street,

Westside Park – 515 N. Grove Street,

Old Mill Pond Park – 600 W. Seminary Street,

Strickland Park – 391 N Pearl Street.

There will be a stake at each location to show the location the sign will be placed.

 

 

Request for Bids-Stump Grinding

Due to the infestation of the emerald ash borer, the City of Richland Center is accepting sealed bids for stump grinding of cut ash trees.  There will be approximately 475 tree stumps to grind ranging in size from 8″ to 30″ in diameter.  The project is expected to begin immediately and to be completed in the next four years.  The contractor will be responsible for contacting the Parks and Grounds Department for stump locations in addition to contacting the Digger’s Hotline prior to grinding the stumps.  The Parks & Grounds Department will be responsible for the removal and cleanup of grinding debris.  NOTE:  A certificate of insurance must be presented with the sealed bid.  The City of Richland reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF LIBRARY ROOF AT
325 N. CENTRAL AVENUE, RICHLAND CENTER, WI 53581

Job Safety:        Job Safety is the responsibility of the Contractor.

Bidding Options:         

            Option 1: Asphalt architectural commercial grade shingles with a 35 year warranty.
Option 2: Steel DECRA shingle with an Epilay Ultra underlayment.

General:        The Contractor shall remove and dispose of felt, shingles, and related debris. Replace the roof with the following materials:  Color of shingles must be approved by City Council prior to purchase. Synthetic roofing underlayment and drip edge. Six inch commercial grade seamless gutters, inside and outside corners and all down spouts. Valley tin along with ice and water felt in valleys. Ice and water felt up 9 feet from all eves. Caps, all boot flashing and all step shingles as needed. Specific quantity of items determined by contractor. No waiver from these specifications will be accepted.

Guarantee:     The Contractor shall at all times observe and comply with all Federal and State laws, local ordinances, and regulations which affect the conduct of this work. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all claims and liabilities arising from or based upon violation of such laws, ordinances, or regulations whether by himself or his employees.

Insurance:       Contractors shall carry insurance conforming to City requirements. The contractor will be required to provide a “certificate of insurance” naming the City of Richland Center as additional insured and indicating the following coverage in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) for each category of coverage.

Liability Insurance, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, Contractual Liability, Demolition Coverage, Workers Compensation Statutory, and Employer’s Liability at minimum of $500,000.00.

Two Bids were received.  Simpson Tractor for 2 New Holland Boomer 24 Compact at $28,138.00 and Homesteader’s Store for 2 Kubota BX2680 at $23,997.08.  The bid was awarded on 3/6/2017 to Homesteader’s Store for $23,997.08.

Request for Bids to Remove Debris from Pine River

2018 RFB Debris Removal Pine River

Bid requests were emailed to a list throughout the State of Wisconsin per FEMA requirements.

Two bids were received.  Gary Manning bid $31,400.00 and Rich Wanless of Wanless Construction bid $27,862.00.  The bid was awarded on 3/6/2018 to Rich Wanless for $27,862.00.  FEMA and the State of WI will reimburse once all documents are turned in and reviewed.

Pine River Trails – On Dike (Hwy 80 N to Hwy 80 S)

Fahrner Asphalt has been contracted to crack seal and seal coat the blacktop portion of the Pine River Trail on top of the Dike (Pine River Watershed Dike) between Hwy 80 North and Hwy 80 South.  They may begin this project after completing the seal coating of city streets next week.  This post will be updated when the exact dates are known of the closing and estimated re-opening of the trail.  Please avoid using the trail when barricades are placed at entrance points.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Bike Route Within the City

The City of Richland Center approved a bike route within the City
on July 18, 2017 from Schmitt Woodland Hills to Seminary Street, South
at Cairns Avenue, East on Haseltine Street, North on Stewart Street, East on
Seminary Street to the Pine River Trail on top of the Pine River Watershed
Dike.  The route will also reverse on the return trip to Schmitt Woodland Hills.
The route will be marked as soon as possible.
