COVID-19 Update from Mayor Coppernoll

Richland Center park shelters, and park play equipment, will re-open for public use July 1.

The Killian Meyer Building will also re-open July 1 – the Meyer Building, and the shelters, will have capacity limits – call 647-8108 for details.

Park bathrooms will open July 1, adult softball, and the youth rec program will also begin July 1. To sign up for adult activities, or to sign your child up for youth activities, please call 647-8108.

Bleachers will not be available this season, please bring chairs with you, and take them when you leave, thank you.

Park bathrooms, and the tables in the park shelters, will be sanitized once per day, early in the morning.

The Community Center, and the Senior Center, will remain closed until further notice.

The aquatic center will not open July 1, we’re awaiting an inspection by the state. At this point, the target date to open the aquatic center is July 4.

We will make an announcement regarding the opening of the aquatic center as soon as we have more details, there will be capacity restrictions in the aquatic center this season.

Signs will be posted in the parks, stating the threat of exposure to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 exists, that by entering the parks, you are taking responsibility for your own protection, and that children should be supervised.

2020 Parks Grounds Truck Specs

Residents – Be Sure Your Tree Cutter Has a License

Residents are encouraged to make sure the contractor hired to cut a tree within the City has a valid City license.  The reason a license is required is for homeowner protection.  The City verifies the contractor has sufficient liability insurance in the event of a problem they may cause while working on the trees.  The City will order a non-licenses tree cutter to stop the job until they obtain a license.  The fee is $25.00 and requires City Council approval which can take up to two weeks.

Contractors are not permitted to place trees or brush outside of the landfill area.  They must take the debris inside the landfill.  The landfill will be open during between 8am and 3pm this week for City residents.  Approved Townships may also use the landfill during regular open hours – Mondays & Wednesdays from 8am to 1pm and Saturdays from 8am to noon.

Rip Rap Request for Bids

REQUEST FOR BIDS

The City of Richland Center is requesting sealed bids to RIP RAP certain sections along the Pine River. A map of the locations and specifications to rip rap are located on the City web page at www.richlandcenter.com under news.

Do not include rock in bid. Rock for the project will be purchased directly by the City, however, contractor will be required to pick up and deliver rock to the site from either the Householder Quarry or Bindl-Bauer Quarry. Contractor will also be responsible to obtain access permission to from adjoining property owners. Access will not be provided from US Highway 14.

The project completion date is requested by March 31, 2020 unless due to inclement weather at which time the deadline would be April 15, 2020.

HVAC Maintenance Contract Request for Bids

REQUEST FOR BIDS

The City is requesting bids for an annual maintenance agreement on all furnace and air conditioning units within city owned buildings. The contract will be one-year, renewable for an additional 2 years upon satisfactory performance. The contract will begin October 1, 2019. A list of the units is available at the City Clerk’s office or online at www.richlandcenter.com under news. Questions may be directed to Dave Fry at 608-604-0398.
