Voting Equipment Audit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.08 and the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (52 U.S.C. § 21081, the City of Richland Center will conduct a voting system audit on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM at the Richland Center Municipal Building located at 450 S. Main Street; Richland Center, WI 53581.  The reporting unit to be audited is Ward 3, which utilizes the Dominion Voting – Image Cast Evolution (ICE) voting system.  The reporting units and contests were randomly selected by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

Notice Is Hereby Given that an election is to be held in all wards and elections districts in the City of Richland Center, on the first Tuesday of April, 2023, being the 4th day of said month, the following officers are to be elected.

 

An Alderperson for the First District (Wards 1-2-3) for a term of two years to succeed Karin Tepley, whose term will expire on April 18, 2023

 

An Alderperson for the Second District (Wards 4-5-6) for a term of two years to succeed Carson Culver, whose term will expire on April 18, 2023

 

An Alderperson for the Third District (Wards 7-8-9) for a term of two years to succeed Melony Walters, whose term will expire on April 18, 2023

 

An Alderperson for the Fourth District (Wards 10-11-12) for a term of two years to succeed Scotty Wallace, whose term will expire on April 18, 2023

 

Notice is further given that the first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2022, and the final day for filing nomination papers in the office of the City Clerk is 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

 

Notice Is Further Given that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on the third Tuesday of February 2023, being the 21st day of said month.

Trick-or-Treat

The City of Richland Center will conduct Trick-or-Treat hours on Halloween (Monday, October 31) from 5:00 – 7:30 PM.

Large Item Garbage Collection – Correction

The City of Richland Center is aware that a number of households were missed by Town & Country Sanitation during the Large Item garbage pick-up this past Saturday (10/1). The city is advising those that were missed to please be patient.  Town & Country Sanitation is aware of those addresses and will be picking up the items by the end of the week.  Please note, only the addresses that were not picked up this past Saturday will be picked up this week.  Those whose items were picked up this past Saturday will not be serviced again.

Career Opportunity – RCPD Police Officer (deadline extended)

The Richland Center Police Department is seeking qualified and career-minded individuals for the position of police officer. Applications are now being accepted to fill a police officer vacancy or vacancies.

Salary: (2022-2024 contract) Beginning base salary of $3,990 per month, to a maximum patrolman base salary of $4,899 per month after 72 months.

Excellent benefits: (2022-2024 contract) health insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement Fund, life and disability insurance, paid vacations and holidays, overtime, comp time, night shift differential, longevity pay, uniform allowance.

Applicant Requirements: Minimum age 18, valid drivers license, high school diploma or GED high school equivalency diploma, Associate Degree or 60 accredited college credits, ability to possess a firearm, no felony or domestic abuse convictions, ability to work nights/weekends/holidays, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment, ability to render credible testimony in a court of law, ability to perform essential functions of the position, certified or certifiable by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board.

Testing Requirements: Must pass written exam, physical agility test, oral interview, medical exam, psychological exam, drug screen, vision test, and extensive background investigation.

RC Transit Service Hours 5/14 & 5/15

Due to an unexpected staffing issue, Richland Center Transit will have shortened service hours on Saturday (May 14) and Sunday (May 15).  Service will conclude at 3:00 PM both days.  The City of Richland Center and Richland Center Transit apologize for the service interruption.

Taxi Service Unavailable Evening of 4/22/22
