Rather than create
mandatory no-parking zones, the City has asked residents not to park on their
streets during street-sweeping days, generally the day after trash collection.
The City also has produced street sweeping reminders that will be placed on
cars blocking the sweeping of streets.
This
reminder explains the importance of street sweeping and also reminds residents
of the day and time sweeping occurs on their street. The City hopes that these
notices will encourage voluntary cooperation and eliminate the need for
mandatory no-parking signs on streets.
