Request for Bids on Truck

The Richland Center Street Department is accepting bids for a 2017 4500 cab and chassis with dump box, snow plow and sander.  Bid specifications can be picked up at the City Municipal Building located at 450 S. Main Street in Richland Center, WI.

Bids are due by 1:00 p.m. on February 17, 2017 and can either be dropped off at the City Clerk’s Office or mailed.

Hunter’s Outlet Burglaries

For Immediate Release

Chief of Police Lucas Clements reports that the police department is investigating two burglaries which occurred in the downtown area over the past month. According to Chief Clements, the Hunter’s Outlet, located at 182 N. Main St. was entered December 17th at approximately 9:00 p.m. and again on December 19th at approximately 1:15 a.m., with handguns taken each time.

Clements states that significant physical force was used to gain entry during the burglaries. The police department is encouraging area businesses to be extra vigilant with physical security, especially in their closing and opening procedures.

The police department is asking the public for their help in solving these crimes. If someone has information about these crimes, or observes suspicious activity, they are encouraged to contact the Richland Center Police Department at 647-2103 or Richland Area Crime Stoppers at 647-CLUE (2583). Callers to the Crime Stoppers line may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.


Request for Bids – Debris Removal


The City of Richland Center is seeking bids for the removal of debris from the Pine River. Anyone interested should contact the City Clerk for bid specifications (bid specs available on January 16, 2017) or view them at by clicking on the news.  Bids should be returned to the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on January 31, 2017 to 450 S. Main Street, Richland Center, WI  53581.  All work must be completed by March 17, 2017.  There will be an additional bid for bank restoration and rip rap in the near future.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Request for bids to do Footbridge Inspections

Request for Bids

The City of Richland Center is seeking bids for inspection of two pedestrian bridges over the Pine River. See the attached location map.

The inspector shall be registered with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as a bridge inspection leader and shall be present at the bridge inspections.

The inspection shall include:

  • Inspections of the substructure units (piers, abutments, foundations).
  • Superstructure (girders and deck)
  • Railings
  • Approaches
  • Signage
  • Steam conditions

Two copies of the inspection shall be provided to the Dave Fry at the Parks & Grounds Department in a report form for each bridge which describes the condition of each item inspected.  The report shall also include a list of suggested repair or maintenance items that should be completed for each bridge in order to keep the structure in good safe useable condition.

Inspections and reports shall be delivered to Dave Fry at Richland Center Parks & Grounds Department by February 28, 2017.
