City Awarded for Support of Military Personnel

20160926_150738 20160926_151406 20160926_151506 20160926_151605 20160926_152137The City of Richland Center and Mr. Pete Walsh of Walsh’s Ace Hardware were recognized on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Richland Center’s Flag Park by the Long Range Reconaissance Association for efforts in honoring America’s Military Personnel, our Nation’s Veterans and Combat Wounded Veterans.


Canyon of Lights Parade October 1, 2016

The 17th Annual Canyon of Lights Parade, in connection with the Center Color Fiesta, will be held on October 1, 2016 beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. and ending at approximately 8:30 p.m.  Assembly will be held in the Richland Center Hospital North Parking area.  The parade route begins at 3rd and Church Street, traveling north on N. Church St., west on 7th Street, South on Central Avenue, east on Court Street, north on Park Street back to the Hospital Parking lot.

RCHS Homecoming Parade

The RCHS will hole the annual homecoming parade on Friday September 30th, 2016 with the lineup starting at 2:30 p.m.  The parade will start at approximately 2:55 p.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m.  The parade route will travel south on N. Central Avenue, turn east on E. Court St. and travel north on N. Church St.

Press Release Regarding Flooding Assistance

The Mayor and City Council would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all city employees; volunteers; Patrick Metz for getting the shelter up and running; the news for their support concerning road closures, etc.; and the Richland County Emergency Government for their assistance during the flood and its aftermath.

State of Emergency declared for City of Richland Center

The flood water is rising fast. I am declaring a State of Emergency for the City of Richland Center. Later in the day movement around the county may become dangerous. I am encouraging all businesses to send employees home while there are still some passable roads.

Library Chimney Repairs-Request For Bids


The City of Richland Center, WI is accepting sealed bids for chimney repairs at the Brewer Library, 325 North Central Avenue.  Repairs must be completed by November 2016.  Work to be completed is the top 4-5 rows should be removed, both concrete caps must be removed and replaced with aluminum caps, tuck pointing and restoration of the integrity of the chimney.  A certificate of insurance must be presented with the bid.

Sidewalk Closure – South Church Street

The sidewalk on the west side of Church Street between South and Gage Streets will be closed from September 7th through September 19th for repairs at Foremost Farms.  Please avoid this section of sidewalk.  Thank you.
